DU holding annual banquet May 7 Early bird deadline coming up April 8

The Fort Frances committee of Ducks Unlimited will be holding its 22nd-annual banquet and auction May 7 at La Place Rendez-Vous and seats already are going fast. Seating is limited to 200, so booking early will help ensure your place.
In addition to the regular items up for auction, this year’s feature item is a framed and autographed Gordie Howe jersey from the Detroit Red Wings.
Tickets cost $50 per person (which includes a $25 membership) or $75 for couples (including one membership), but those booking by April 8 will be eligible for the early bird draw.
The prize is a flying mallard weathervane, which can be mounted on a pole or roof. Made of cold-rolled steel with an attractive copper finish, this item features a duck head logo above a directional arrow.
Guests are encouraged to book early for another reason—there will be assigned seating.
Groups of 10 can reserve an entire table if desired while smaller groups also can arrange to be seated together if sufficient notice is given.
For all groups, big or small, it is essential that a complete list of names be submitted in time to allow everyone to be seated at the same table. In previous years, problems have occurred when small groups arrived and were not able to find seats together.
If you wish to pick a particular table, drop into Cousineau Brokers to view the seating plan. Tickets also can be purchased there.
