Dryden man killed in crash

A Dryden man was pronounced dead at the scene of a motor vehicle accident Saturday around 10:35 a.m. on Highway 17.
Kenneth Brown Sr., 61, was killed when a pickup truck in which he was a passenger collided with a tractor-trailer unit near Robin Trailer Park, west of Dryden.
The driver was extricated from the pickup truck and remains in hospital with serious injuries, Dryden OPP reported.
The driver of the tractor-trailer unit was not injured, police added.
The pickup came to rest in the eastbound ditch while the tractor-trailer rolled onto its side in the westbound ditch.
Road conditions were reported to be icy at the time of the accident, which reduced Highway 17 to one lane of traffic for most of the day.
Police are continuing to investigate the accident with the assistance of an OPP Technical Traffic Collision investigator.
