Drug bust nabs pair

On Nov. 19, members of the Rainy River District OPP and the Community Street Crime Unit started an investigation into the trafficking of crystal methamphetamine in Rainy River District.
At 6:55 p.m., members of the Atikokan OPP conducted a vehicle stop. Two male occupants were located in the vehicle and subsequently arrested.
A search of the vehicle by uniformed officers and the OPP Canine Unit yielded a quantity of suspected crystal methamphetamine.
A 26-year-old Thunder Bay male was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and driving while under suspension.
A 33-year-old Fort Frances man was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and failure to comply with a recognizance.
