A local man has turned himself in following a hit-and-run collision over the weekend.
On Sunday around 5 a.m., Rainy River District OPP officers responded to a motor-vehicle collision on the 200 block of Sixth Street West in Fort Frances.
The driver of a motor vehicle struck a taxi cab and then fled the scene.
The driver of the cab suffered minor injuries in the collision.
Officers put out a call for assistance in locating the driver.
On Tuesday, a 33-year-old adult male from Fort Frances turned himself into police.
The male was charged with failing to stop at the scene of an accident and possession of a controlled substance.
He was released on a promise to appear in court on Jan. 29.
