From the OPP
The Rainy River District OPP was notified of a traffic complainant in the east end of Fort Frances on Tuesday around 3:30 p.m.
Officers located the driver on the 800 block of Minnie Avenue.
A Lake of the Woods Township man, aged 61, was arrested at the scene and taken to the OPP detachment for breath tests.
He subsequently was charged with impaired driving and having a blood alcohol level over .08 mg.
The vehicle was impounded for a minimum of seven days and he also was issued a mandatory 90-day driver’s licence suspension.
The man is scheduled to appear in court here Feb. 21.
