On Saturday around 1:20 a.m., Rainy River District OPP officers conducted a traffic stop on a motor vehicle being operated in an erratic manner near Front Street and Crowe Avenue.
After speaking with the driver, it was determined he had been drinking.
The driver, a 39-year-old Emo resident, failed the roadside test and subsequently was arrested.
The vehicle was towed from the scene and impounded for seven days.
The driver then was taken to Fort Frances detachment, where he subsequently was charged with driving with a blood alcohol level over 80 mg following the results of breathalyzer tests.
He will appear in court here Aug. 24.
