Double drowning on Wabigoon Lake

The bodies of two Illinois men have been recovered from Wabigoon Lake near Dryden, Dryden OPP reported this morning.
Dryden OPP had responded to a distressed boat call on Wabigoon Lake around 2 p.m. on Friday. The two men, who were guests at Bonny Bay Camp, had gone out fishing in Daunais Bay.
Witnesses had located the distressed boat and the body of a male, and contacted police.
A search of the area was conducted by the OPP Marine Unit, ERT members, and the Underwater Search and Recovery Unit, with the body of the second man being recovered yesterday around 5 p.m.
The victims were identified as Jeff Brzozowski, 44, of Hoffman Estates, Ill. and Dan McKay, 44, of Franklin Park, Ill.
Neither man had been wearing a personal flotation device.
The OPP wishes to encourage all watercraft users to wear their personal flotation devices to prevent any further boating tragedies this summer.
