Dog owner charged

Dryden OPP officers recently received an anonymous call about a dog being left out in the cold at a residence in Wainwright Township.
The officers attended the residence and located a husky cross dog in poor health due to the weather conditions.
The temperature at the time of their arrival was minus-43 C.
The dog was transported for treatment and currently is safe at a shelter.
Paul Lysy, 37, of Dryden was charged with cruelty to animals.
He is to appear in court March 16 in Dryden.
