District youth second in Legion contest

Brandon Olson placed second at the national level in the annual Remembrance Day poster and literary contest hosted by the Royal Canadian Legion.
His drawing will hang in the House of Commons until the end of October.
All schools can participate in this contest throughout the Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario Command of the Royal Canadian Legion. About 2,500 students enter it each year.
Br. #99 in Emo is very proud to have had a lot of entries every year, and to have had two contestants advance to the national level.
David Barron placed third at the nationals back in 2000. His drawing is framed and displayed at Br. #99.
Local Legions will be receiving literature for this year’s entries very soon, and members will be going out again to area schools to promote it.
