The Emo and District Lions Club is hosting a “Robbie Burns Dinner” on Saturday, Jan. 22 at the Emo Legion.
The evening will begin with cocktails at 6 p.m., followed by a roast beef dinner at 7 p.m.
Included in this traditional Scottish celebration will be the piping in of the haggis and a recitation of Burns’ famous “Ode to the Haggis.” A dance, featuring live music by “Centre-Line,” will round out the festivities.
Tickets cost $25 each, which can be purchased at Cloverleaf Store and Village Variety here in Emo, as well as at Dr. Lidkea’s office in Fort Frances.
They also are available from Voyageur Lions Club member Jim Martindale, from members of the Emo and District Lion’s Club, and from Stewart Firth (482-1958).
Profits from the evening will go to support Lions’ projects in Emo and the surrounding area.
This is a public event and everyone is welcome to attend. The Emo and District Lions Club hopes you will support its work by attending this entertaining celebration.
