Belated congratulations to former Muskie curler Mike Badiuk of Devlin, who helped the Dylan Johnston rink (Thunder Bay) to the runner-up showing at the Canadian junior men’s playdowns in Salmon Arm, B.C. earlier this month.
Mike had a great time there and hopes to be back competing next year.
Mike’s mom, Trudy, and his aunt, Diane Bonot, made the trip to Salmon Arm to support Mike and his teammates.

Extending heartfelt sympathies once again is in order for many families in the district.
Sympathy to Bill Godin and Nellie Halverson on the passing of Bill’s mom, Evelyn Godin.
Sincere sympathy, as well, to the family, friends, and staff at Thompson Distributors in Fort Frances on the sudden passing of Ernie Thompson.
Ernie was a friendly, outgoing man who always had a smile, a twinkle in his eye, and a wise crack.
He worked hard at his business for many, many years and his staff, along with his family and friends, will miss him very much.
