Two Devlin fishing teams cracked the top 10 at the sixth-annual International Falls Bass Championship held Friday and Saturday (Aug. 27-28).
Bill Godin and Ralph Galusha finished in sixth place out of the 60 teams entered, followed by Dale LaBelle and Karl Howells in seventh.
LaBelle and Howells were in first place after Day 1, but couldn’t hang on to the top spot on Saturday.

Tana DeKan (Kennett) and her husband, Nick, are home visiting her mom (Tammy).
Also travelling home from Toronto to visit Tana, Nick, and her family is Amanda Galusha.

Cards played at the Emo Legion last Wednesday were won by Agnes Waldeck and Mary Gavin, with the low going to Gerald Bullied and Donna Sheppard.
Agnes also won the draw prize.

Bingo returns Tuesday, Sept. 14 at the Emo Legion.

A wife, in her authoritative voice, said to her husband, “Honey, what are you going to do today?”
He shrugged his shoulders and meekly replied, “Nothing.”
“But honey, that’s what you did yesterday,” the wife countered.
“I know. I didn’t finish!” he responded.
