Customer Appreciation Days in works

The Emo Chamber of Commerce has decided to hold a special weekend event to coincide with the grand openings of several new and renovated businesses in September.
At its regular meeting Monday night, the Chamber has set aside the weekend of Sept. 5-6 for “Customer Appreciation Days,” with two draws planned worth $300 and $200, respectively.
So far, Borderland Esso, Norlund Oil (under new ownership), Cloverleaf Shop Easy Foods, and Country Treasures Gift Shop—all of which are holding grand openings that weekend—have committed to participate.
The Chamber now is trying to contact other groups and organizations with the hope of having additional activities and attractions for that weekend.
There will be an update at the Chamber’s next meeting slated Aug. 18.
