Crossroads School staff and community members will be holding a spaghetti dinner on Friday, March 12 for the Presenger family who recently lost their home and possessions to a house fire.
There also will be a silent auction at the dinner.
Tickets will be available soon.
As well, the Kids Care Club and Volunteer Club are having a “Gently Used Book and Toy Drive” up until Friday of this week (March 5).
If you have any items you would like to donate for the toy and book drive or the auction, please drop them off at the school.

Parents/guardians who were unable to attend registration for kindergarten last week are encouraged to contact Crossroads School to register their child for the 2010/11 school year.
Please bring along your child’s birth certificate or other legal proof of birth, their Ontario health card, and immunization record.

There will be a Bingo at the Emo Legion next Tuesday (March 9). The next “Country Jam” there is slated for Saturday, March 13.

Card winners at the Emo Legion last week were Darlene Bruce and Adelia Guba with the high while Nicole Drennan and Ester Elias took the low.

The Emo & District Hospital Auxiliary is hosting a Shamrock Tea and Bake Sale on Friday, March 12 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. in the Emo hospital cafeteria.
Admission is $3, and there will be a door prize.
Funds raised will assist with the upgrading of X-ray equipment at the Emo hospital.
The auxiliary also will be selling memberships for $2 each.

Scott and Leeann live in North Bay, where he is enjoying his job at Bombardier working as an aircraft structural engineer.
She recently became employed at the OPP office there as a secretary.

“Nine pound, eh,” said the other guy. “Were there any witnesses?”
