The students and staff at Crossroads School are organizing a number of events throughout the next few weeks to help the Pressenger family who lost their home to a fire over the weekend.
Any community members who wish to make a monetary donation to help the family may drop it off or mail it to the school.
Clothing and household items also may be dropped off at the school, with Laura Ellman, or at the Sears store in Fort Frances.
The home was not insured and any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
In related news, the Kids Care Club at Crossroads is planning a “gently used” book and toy drive.
A benefit supper also is being planned. Anyone interested in assisting with the fundraiser is asked to call the school at 486-3329.

In response to last month’s earthquake in Haiti, Crossroads School’s Kids Care Club, Volunteer Club, and student council worked together to organize a fundraising drive called “Coins for Haiti.”
With the help of community members and staff, the students were able to collect $1,636.66.
The money has been forwarded to the “Free the Children” organization, and will be used to support rebuilding efforts in Haiti.
A big thank you goes out to everyone who helped to make this project so successful!

He and Sophie are well-known for the many dances they shared, also spending time together while at work and enjoying their favourite pastimes.
