Press Release
Crime Stoppers of Northwestern Ontario and northern Minnesota is pleased to announce the election to its board of directors of Terence Douglas (Kenora) and Shirley Keesic (Red Lake).
Both individuals bring an incredible array of tools to an already strong board, and look forward to enhancing one of North America’s premiere Crime Stoppers organizations.
The local Crime Stoppers branch also is pleased to announce Bill Harrington (Dryden) will be part of its directorship after a short hiatus.
Harrington brings more than two decades of experience and a legacy of community involvement as a founder of this organization.
Crime Stoppers of Northwestern Ontario and northern Minnesota is a leader among the 1,100 global Crime Stoppers organizations in areas of promotion, community involvement, and effectiveness, and continues to gather international awards for excellence.
Unique to this program is the organization of 16 Canadian and American communities working under one umbrella towards a common purpose.
In each of our centres, our efforts have shown tremendous success in recovering stolen property, reducing the amount of illegal drugs on our streets, and setting new standards in providing a bridge between citizens and our police forces.
Crime Stoppers relies heavily on the citizens, media, sponsors, and police agencies in each of our communities.
