Kenora OPP received a report of a motor-vehicle collision involving a westbound tractor-trailer unit and an eastbound mini-van on Highway 17 in Bridges Township just before 5:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Krysten Norris, 25, of Dryden, the driver of the mini-van, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The female passenger sustained non-life threatening injuries.
The male driver of the tractor-trailer unit did not sustain any injuries.
The road was opened to one lane about four hours after the OPP arrived on scene.
The investigation by OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators is continuing.
