Country Jams still going strong

The “Country Jams” for Emo will be on Jan. 17, Feb. 21 and March 13, 2020 at the Emo Legion. For a great evening of old time favourites with family and friends please mark these dates on your calendar. The musicians will start playing sometime around 7 p.m. and will play until 10 p.m. or a little later. The bar will be open and the kitchen staff may be available to cook your favourite snack. Admission is only $2, which covers heat, lights and air conditioning (once it warms up). More musicians are always welcome. Please bring your own instruments and equipment. See you at the next “Jam”.

The next Country Music Jam in Barwick will be on Saturday, January 25 in the Barwick Hall. Admission is $5 which includes pop, coffee, water and snacks. The music starts at 7 p.m. The organizers are always looking for more musicians, so please consider coming out to play some old time favourites.

The men and boys of the district are invited to the Men’s Fellowship Breakfast at the Emo Legion, Saturday, Jan. 18 @ 8:00 a.m. Come for a delicious breakfast and enjoy fellowship with old and new friends. The RRCA would like to invite interested people to their Annual Meeting on Thursday, Jan. 16 at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Way School. The board has decided to stream-line the agenda so it should make things a bit more interesting and quicker.

The RRCA is really wanting to give all those concerned, an update on the building plans and would also like to hear from the membership! They are always looking for your ideas and or opinions. Looking forward to seeing you there. If this is a concern for you please plan on attending the RRCA Annual meeting.

Kids & Company will present “Rythmo 2” on Monday, Jan. 27 at 6:30 p.m. at the Townshend Theatre. Tickets cost $10.50 in advance (available online at and $12 at the door (kids three and under are free). For more info, call Tara at 271-0320.
