Emo council is considering a new Web site, and it would like to have input from local high school students.
“The new one will be tied in with the Fort Frances Times, which would add better service and requires a name,” noted Emo Reeve Russ Fortier.
“This is the way to market our community,” he stressed.
Reeve Fortier also said council is looking at the Municipal Performance Measurement Project (MPMP), which addresses ambulance and policing services, among other items.
Emo also is putting in the new 911 numbers for each residence in anticipation of that emergency system coming on line later this year.
In other news, Emo council has changed its meeting schedule to the second and fourth Thursdays of each month at 7 p.m. The public is invited to attend and voice any concerns.
A quarterly newsletter also will be available to the public, with an updated agenda of council meetings and projects to be discussed for future consideration.
Emo council is made up of Reeve Fortier, along with councillors Ken Fisher, Gary Judson, Harriet Sheloff, and Doug Hodges.
Brenda Cooke is the clerk/administrator while Dan Wilson is the roads superintendent.
