A surprise publication has been showing up in Fort Frances mailboxes lately.
Residents in the Rainy River District have recently started receiving copies of the Epoch Times. The paper itself reaches back to 2000 when it was created by individuals connected to the Falun Gong new religious movement.
The independent paper describes itself as non-partisan but has been criticized for its articles that promote far-right rhetoric and conspiracy theories.
The Epoch Times has been delivered to residents across the country by way of Canada Post. It is not affiliated with the Fort Frances Times.
