Computer donated to STL

The Rainy River District Social Services Administration Board has donated a used computer to the Stratton Toy Library so it soon will be able to offer educational games and such for the children to use.
For those members who would like to receive their newsletters by e-mail, feel free to let the STL known.
In other news, Krista Gouliquer is the newest staff member at the STL.
The STL also would like to say thanks to all those who donated items for its penny table during Spring Fever Days in April, including Jackie Champagne (Roseberry Runway), Donna McQuaker (Cuts and Curls), Barb Miller, Krystal Vandenbrand, Adelia Guba, Lavern Caul, Sandy Shrumm, and Sooter Studios.
A reminder to all parents that if your child is coming on a respite day, please be sure to send along sunscreen or apply same before leaving home.
The STL would like to take the children outside on nice days and it sure doesn’t want to send them home with a sunburn.
Upcoming dates to remember include a pajama day planned for Thursday, July 11. Games also will be played.
And the STL will be having its annual Teddy Bear Picnic on Thursday, July 28 from 10 a.m. until noon for pre-schoolers and toddlers. Bring along your favourite teddy bear as well as a snack to share.
New items at STL include “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” video, various books, and Pitch Hitter Baseball.
The STL’s summer hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. It is closed Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
Respite care is offered on Tuesdays only for any four hours between 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
