The children’s centre at the 2009 Emo Walleye Class, which was open Saturday afternoon, attracted a large group of enthusiastic young people.
One activity that attracted older kids was the “Guitar Hero” computer game. Although there was no formal competition, friends competed head to head, obviously practising for next year’s “Guitar Hero” Challenge.
Other activities at the centre were face-painting, a colouring contest, numerous crafts, and a fish pond.
A healthy snack of fresh fruit and vegetables was supplied by the Rainy River District Healthy Communities Coalition.
All the participants had a great time, and still were busy when the Saturday afternoon weigh-in began.
