“Coffee Break” is an informal, non-denominational Bible study for women of all ages that is held each Wednesday morning at the Christian Reformed Church in Emo.
Coffee time and fellowship starts at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Bible study that runs until 11:15 a.m.
Study guides and Bibles are provided free of charge, and there is no cost to attend.
The program also provides a nursery and a “Little Lambs/Story Hour” for babies and small children of the moms who attend.
“Coffee Break” starts its new season next Wednesday (Sept. 13) with a “welcome breakfast” of muffins, loaves, cinnamon buns, and yogurt from 9:30-10:15 a.m., followed by a time of fellowship, singing, games, and an introduction to the first Bible study, “Discover the Fruits of the Spirit.”
All ladies are welcome and encouraged to bring a friend.
For more information, call Jeannette (482-2593) or Gertie (482-2963).

Bingo has resumed at the Emo Legion. Doors open every Tuesday at 6 p.m., with the early-bird game starting at 6:45 p.m. and regular games at 7 p.m.
The Legion is looking for volunteers to be a Bingo caller or to work at the door.
If you can help by becoming part of the rotation schedule (one Tuesday a month), call the Legion and leave a message for Angel.
The Legion also is in need of volunteers for the Thursday senior lunches, Christmas banquets, Friday night beer-and-burger, and occasional bartending.
Contact the Legion if you are willing to help out.
