NCDS is working with CN Rail to bring another job fair here.
It is slated for Wednesday, April 2 at 8:30 a.m. at La Place Rendez-Vous.
Recruiters from North America’s leading railroad will be looking for candidates interested in residing in Northern Ontario, Saskatchewan, and Alberta and working as a train conductor.
Attendees are encouraged to arrive on time with résumé in hand to guarantee their spot.
They also must bring a legible photocopy of two pieces of government-issued ID, including one with a photo.

NCDS job developer Tim Spence said the organization is thrilled to be partnered with CN to help support hiring.
“We’re trying to give local people options,” he noted.
Spence added interest in previous CN job fairs has been high and they’ve seen a variety of applicants–from youth fresh out of high school to some of the displaced workers from the local mill.
CN, which will be hiring a minimum of 2,000 employees this year alone, provides relocation assistance, paid training, a competitive wage, and outstanding benefits.
NCDS also recently teamed up with companies like LORAM, AV Terrace Bay, Hinton Pulp, and Paper Excellence to carry out job fairs.
Executive director Nicke Baird said the organization will continue to form these valuable partnerships with employers in order to offer a wide range of opportunities to local job-seekers.
NCDS offers employment services to clients of all ages and employment circumstances—unemployed, employed, under-employed, and those who have experienced a lay-off.
Services include assistance with the creation of a résumé and cover letter, local and Canada-wide job searching, online job applications and resources, training and educational opportunities, assistance with the application process for a number of Ontario government programs, networking, and more.
