St. Patrick’s Church in Emo will be holding a roast beef supper in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day on Saturday, March 17.
Set to start at 5 p.m. in the church hall, the cost of the supper is $12 for adults and $6 for children aged six-12 (kids five and under are free).
There will be “Luck of the Irish” door prizes, draws, and entertainment.
Watch for posters around town and plan on attending. Everyone is welcome!
Meanwhile, the Church of the Holy Spirit in Fort Frances will be holding a St. Patrick’s Day stew supper on Friday, March 16 at 824 Victoria Ave. (the old Clendenning building).

The Emo and District Lions Club will host its second-annual “Farmers’ Night” on Saturday, March 24 at the Barwick Hall.
Costing $25 per person, the evening will include dinner, a cash bar, and draw prizes donated by local businesses and national sponsors
Everyone will go home with a prize!
A limited number of tickets are available from any club member or by calling 482-3788, with proceeds going towards projects in Rainy River District.
Don’t be disappointed by making sure to reserve your tickets as soon as possible. Last year’s activities were a huge hit with everyone who attended.

The fourth and final public meeting of Donald Young School’s accommodation review committee will be held Wednesday, March 7 starting at 7 p.m.
A large number of concerned citizens attending this meeting will show members of the committee that the community is extremely serious about supporting the continued existence of our local school.

Don’t forget to pick up your tickets for well-known Canadian champion fiddler Scott Woods, who will be performing May 11 at the Emo Legion.
Woods will be performing many of the tunes made popular by famous fiddlers from across North America.
Tickets are now on sale across the district, and those interested in getting tickets are urged to do so in the next couple of weeks.
