Church Coffee House being planned

A Coffee House is being planned for the Church of the Holy Spirit in Fort Frances on March 27, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. Come and enjoy local music talent, beverages and snacks for just $5. In addition there will be a Penny Table as well as baked goods for sale. The congregation is looking for donations of baking and/or new or very gently used items for the Penny Table. Please contact Cathy at 274-3408 if you are able to donate to these areas. All are welcome to attend. Organizers hope to see you there.

The next Country Jam in Emo will take place at the Legion on Friday, March 13 starting around 7 p.m. Come out for a great evening of Old Time Country Music and dancing. The bar will be open and the kitchen staff may be able to make a snack or two for you. Bring a friend and come out to support the Legion. Admission is only $2. New musicians are always welcome. Please bring your own equipment and be ready to play by 7 p.m.

The next Barwick Jam will take place on March 21 in the Barwick Hall. Admission is $5 and includes pop, water and snacks. The organizers are always looking for new musicians. So if you can contribute to the music, you’re invited to come out for the evening.

St. Patrick’s Church Emo will be hosting their annual Traditional Irish Supper, on Tuesday, March 17 at 5:30 p.m.

The meal will be Loin of Bacon (smoked pork loin), served with Creamy Cabbage & Champ and all the sides (mashed potatoes). Admission to the supper will be by advanced ticket only. Adults will be $15.00 and children 6-12 years $8.00. The Emo Hospital Auxiliary will be holding their annual Shamrock Tea and Bake Sale on Friday, March 13 in the Emo Hospital Cafeteria from 1 – 3 p.m. Admission to the tea will be $5 and will support the work and projects of the Auxiliary in the Emo Hospital. Come for some tea, coffee and refreshments and spend some time with friends. There will be baking and goodies for sale, so please mark the date on your calendar and come out to support the beneficial work of the members of the Hospital Auxiliary.

The annual Emo Lenten Lunch worship series will be hosted by Emo Knox United Church every Wednesday from March 11-April 1. Come and enjoy a short worship service followed by a soup and sandwich lunch. All are welcome!
