The Community Garage Sale, originally set for Saturday, July 20 in conjunction with “Railroad Daze” in Rainy River, has been re-designed and re-scheduled to September as a charity auction.
A veritable mountain of goods already has been donated for the event by members of the community, and the committee felt the logistics of a garage sale for the busy “Railroad Daze” weekend had become unmanageable.
The charity auction will be held Saturday, Sept. 7 starting at 10 a.m. at the same location—the front portion of the Rainy River municipal garage.
Additional donations of items will continue to be accepted every Monday until the sales date.

In addition, total purchases over $20 shall be considered a charitable donation, making the lucky bidder eligible for a tax-deductible receipt.
