Charges laid at bass tourney site

Fort Frances OPP investigated some liquor offences last night at the Sorting Gap Marina—site of the Fort Frances Canadian Bass Championship festivities this week.
An 18-year-old Fort Frances female was charged with consuming liquor as a minor, contrary to the Liquor Licence Act.
She was removed from the site and released.
As well, a 19-year-old Fort Frances male was arrested and charged with being intoxicated in a public place, contrary to the Liquor Licence Act.
He was held in custody and released upon sobriety.
In other news, a 29-year-old Fort Frances woman was charged with assault stemming from an altercation today around 1:30 a.m. on the 200 block of Scott Street.
She will appear in court Aug. 22.
