Chapple to host fall supper

The Chapple fall supper/museum fundraiser has been scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 17 at the community hall. More details will be forthcoming as to the time and what else is on the agenda.
Meanwhile, at the lighthouse along the waterfront in Barwick, only a small amount of work is left to be completed on the project.
But there is still time to buy a brick. Names will be going to the engraver in December to be placed on the plaques. Contact Kathy Nugent at the Barwick Family Restaurant if you’re interested.
A reminder Chapple is planning a big reunion for July 30-Aug. 1, 2004. If you want to come to any of the meals sponsored by the committee, or to the Saturday evening entertainment and dance, you must pre-register.
Some registrations already have come in, so don’t miss out on this fun-filled weekend.
Don’t forget the museum is open on Saturday and Sunday only during September, then it’s closed for season. Special thanks to the summer student there, Lisa Barron, as well as to Laura Lee Both for helping out as a volunteer in August.
It’s been an exciting year at the museum, with between 350-400 visitors having stopped by over the summer. They came from all over Canada and points beyond, including such states as Minnesota, New Mexico, Arizona, Texas, and California.
Still others hailed from countries such as Costa Rica, Australia, and the United Kingdom.
Finally, a reminder that Bingo is held every Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Barwick Hall. See you there!
