Chapple planning Christmas potluck

Chapple’s annual Christmas potluck supper is slated for Friday, Dec. 12 at 6 p.m. at the Barwick Hall. Santa will be there, so be sure to bring along your cameras—and wish lists.
Meanwhile, a craft sale will be held in Barwick on Saturday, Dec. 13 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Come and enjoy the crafts and fresh-baking—and where you can find your Christmas gifts and stocking stuffers all in one place.
For information on booking tables and joining in the fun, contact Crystal Gray at 487-1129.
A hot lunch also will be available.
In other news, Chapple Heritage said the lighthouse railings are now on, but there still are small jobs to complete. Names will be going to engraver in December.
Money for the construction of the lighthouse was raised totally by Chapple Heritage (i.e., no township tax money was used in this project).
The heritage committee is looking forward to the school reunion being planned for July 30-Aug. 1, 2004. They still require school stories, photographs, etc.
Contact Rilla Race (487-2655) if you can help out.
And don’t forget memberships for the Chapple Fitness Centre expire on Dec. 31. Memberships for 2004 are now available at the municipal office for $70 (single) and $120 (family).
Also still available are the first edition of the Chapple cookbook ($5) and the centennial edition ($7). Or purchase the set for $10. These would make an excellent Christmas gift.
