Chapple Heritage fall supper a good time for all

The Chapple Heritage annual Fall Supper was held at the Community Centre Friday evening. According to Reeve Bill Clink, approximately 125 came out to enjoy homemade stew, bread, salads and pies.
Entertainment was furnished by six members from the Rainy Lake Legion Br. #29 Highlanders of Fort Frances. They were greeted and welcomed by Councillor Rilla Race. Their music included the playing of Amazing Grace, and they performed several Scottish tunes. The audience appreciated the playing and let the group know by enthusiastically applauding them.
All proceeds from the fundraiser are directed towards the Chapple Museum on Front Street.
Township of Chapple Councillor Rilla Race who also is a member of the Centennial Committee, elaborated on Chapple school’s reunion scheduled for July 30-Aug. 1, 2004. Registration forms are available by contacting the municipal office or Chapple Heritage Committee, P.O. Box 54, Barwick, ON P0W 1A0.
The committee must know who are all coming to celebrate, to make arrangements. Registration fees cover three meals, Saturday evening entertainment and goody bags.
There are 14 schools involved in the reunion. Specify which school you attended and whether you or a family member were ever employed at any of the schools. Registration must be in the hands of the committee before June 15, 2004.
