This year, The Northwest Catholic District School Board is pleased to release our new three-year Mental Health and Addictions Strategy. The strategy holds every student at the heart, ensuring timely access to identity-affirming supports and resources for students, caregivers and educators using practices that are both evidence-informed and evaluated.
Board mental health leadership continues to work with our community partners on the Right Time, Right Care Framework to align services so students receive the care that they need when they need it. This multi-tiered system of support approach is the foundation for school mental health service delivery. This structure helps to establish priorities, clarify roles, and ensure service coordination and quality.
Mental Health Promotion remains a top priority both inside and outside of the classroom. We will continue to support caregivers and educators with resources and education to support student mental health and well-being.
