On Wednesday around 3:30 a.m., Red Lake OPP received a report of a non-responsive male located in a sand pit south of Ear Falls.
The deceased has been identified as Paul Campeau, 45, of Red Lake.
A post-mortem will be conducted but has not yet been scheduled.
The Ministry of Labour was notified and attended the scene.
It currently is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death with the assistance of the OPP’s North West Region Crime Unit.
