Body found

The OPP’s Underwater Search and Rescue Unit recovered the body of a male from the Winnipeg River shortly before 11 a.m. yesterday.
The male had jumped into the water from the Darlington Bay bridge on Saturday at 9:10 a.m. and failed to surface.
The victim was identified as John Savoyard, 20, of Minaki.
A post-mortem examination was scheduled for this morning at Lake of the Woods Hospital in Kenora.
The OPP reminds the public to practice water safety and exercise caution when swimming in unknown waters.
