Boater missing on Lake of the Woods

Members of the Kenora OPP Marine Unit currently are searching for a missing boater in the Wiley Point area of Lake of the Woods.
Shortly after 7 p.m. on Wednesday, police were notified that a boat from an area lodge had been located running in circles.
The operator of the boat, a 41-year-old man, was not found.
A search of the area where the boat was spotted, including the surrounding shorelines, was conducted, but the operator still was not found.
The boat had left the lodge dock only a short time before it was noticed running in circles.
The marine unit is continuing the search for the operator, and members of the OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit were enroute to the area yesterday to assist with the search.
