Board releases statement on planned labour protest

Staff

The Rainy River District School Board has issued the following statement in regards to a pending labour protest by CUPE workers on Friday:

The Rainy River District School Board continues to monitor the provincial labour negotiations closely. In the RRDSB, CUPE represents custodial and maintenance staff, as well as business staff, secretaries, and Dedicated Early Childhood Educators. We highly value the service of CUPE workers and respect the collective bargaining process.

At this time, this is a provincial matter. The Board is doing contingency planning for Friday, November 4, 2022, to ensure the continuity of learning for students. We are following the provincial negotiations closely and will continue to provide you with updates.
