Bingo resumes at Emo Legion

The Emo Legion has started its fall Bingos again, with doors opening at 6 p.m. each Tuesday.
Come out and enjoy an evening of Bingo—you even might take home some cash!
Proceeds help the Legion fund its many charities.
A reminder, as well, that seniors’ carpet bowling and lunch goes every Thursday at the Emo Legion
Games begin at 9 a.m., with lunch served at noon.

A spaghetti supper for Sondra Caul and her family will be held Saturday, Sept. 24 at the Emo Legion.
Sondra and her daughter were in a serious car accident back on July 30 and both will have a long road to recovery.
Following the supper, the Legion is hosting a dance featuring live music by The Nighthawks.

St. Patrick’s Church in Emo will hold a fall supper in the church hall on Sunday, Sept. 25 starting at 5 p.m.
Admission is $15 for adults and $8 for children aged six-12.
Advanced tickets only, which are available at Gillons’ in Emo or by calling Jo (482-3948), Heather (487-2253), or Mary (482-2094).

Naicatchewenin First Nation will hold its annual fishing tournament this Friday and Saturday (Sept. 16-17).
I’ve heard from many long-time anglers that this is a great tournament.
There will be food canteens and lots of excitement during the weigh-ins, as well as a dance featuring District Legacy on the Saturday night.

Congratulations to Clayton and Tracy Teeple on the birth of their daughter, Addyson Jean, on Sept. 7.
Proud grandparents are Donna and Kelvin Haglin and Allan and Shirley Teeple.

The next “Country Jam” at the Emo Legion will be held this Friday (Sept. 16).
