“Free Servant,” Steinbach Bible College’s student-led worship team, and “New Creation,” the college’s drama troupe, visited the district earlier this week.
On Monday, they visited the Sturgeon Creek Alternative Program in Stratton in the morning, then performed at the Fort Frances Evangelical Fellowship Church that evening.
The groups also performed for the drama department at Fort Frances High School on Tuesday morning.
“Free Servant” leads worship in chapel, at youth events, and at churches in the Steinbach area. Their purpose is to draw youth groups and congregations closer to God through meaningful spirit-filled worship.
Meanwhile, the six-member drama team spent the college year preparing various sketches, as well as full-length productions, for ministry in schools, communities, and church groups throughout southeastern Manitoba.
Both groups were extremely well-received during their visit to Rainy River District as part of a two-week tour of Ontario.

The Emo spray park committee would like to remind everyone that the Cloverleaf cash register receipt program will be in effect until the end of May.
They believe, at this point, that nearly $50,000 worth of receipts has been collected.
Cloverleaf generously has volunteered to donate 3.5 percent of the total receipts as of May 31, so keep those receipts coming!
In related news, the spray park committee also would like to announce it still is accepting memorial bricks. There will be a final mailing to all residents in the municipality next week.
Those living outside of Emo who wish to purchase a brick can do so by visiting the Emo municipal office during regular business hours.
