A number of vehicle and deer collisions on area highways occurred over the weekend on our area highways, the OPP reported this morning.
The OPP would like to remind motorists to be alert when travelling on rural roadways and be conscious of the wildlife in the area.
Likewise, adhering to posted speed limits should provide drivers with the suitable reaction time necessary to safely avoid colliding with an animal that wanders onto the highway.
