Bass season open all year

Anglers in Northwestern Ontario can continue to fish for largemouth and smallmouth bass throughout the year, Natural Resources minister David Ramsay said last week.
Anglers in Northwestern Ontario should continue to follow the 2005-06 Recreational Fishing Regulations Summary throughout 2007.
The only change for 2007 in Northwestern Ontario is that Borealis Lake, located about 20 km northeast of Terrace Bay, will be open for aurora trout angling from Aug. 1-Oct. 15.
There’s a limit of one fish for anglers with sport fishing licences and zero fish for anglers with conservation fishing licences.
The 2005-06 Recreational Fishing Regulations Summary is available at ServiceOntario/Government Information Centres outlets and from most licence issuers, as well as on the MNR’s website.
To fish, Ontario residents must have a valid Outdoors Card and fishing licence. Non-residents must have a valid fishing licence before they may fish in Ontario waters.
