Press Release
What does a sadistic dentist, insecure florist clerk, middle-aged shop owner, and good-looking bleach blonde have in common?
You can see them all on stage in the upcoming Borealis Bards’ production of “Little Shop of Horrors.”
This rocking-good musical will feature the ESharp Harp Blues Band, along with many new faces in both the cast and behind the scenes.
“Little Shop of Horrors” is a charmingly tongue-in-cheek comedy and has been produced worldwide.
It features the story of Seymour Krelborn, a meek floral assistant who stumbles across a new breed of plant he names “Audrey II” after his co-worker crush.
This foul-mouthed, Rhythm and Blues-singing carnivore promises Seymour fame and fortune–but at a bloody price.
Borealis Bards and debut director Raeanne Conat is excited to introduce a new genre to the Bards’ repertoire. We think local audiences will be excited, too.
“Little Shop of Horrors” is presented by special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).
Performances will be held this Friday and Saturday (Oct. 26-27) at 7 p.m., and again on Sunday, Oct. 28 at 2 p.m.
Tickets cost $12 for adults and $5 for youths, which are available at City Drug and the Backus office in International Falls, J&D Family Foods in Littlefork, and Betty’s in Fort Frances, as well as at the door.
