Members of the Rainy River District OPP detachment and the North West Region Crime Unit are conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a one-month-old baby girl from Fort Frances.
The child, Rhianna Gosselin-Allen of 327 Third St. E., passed away Monday in hospital in Winnipeg, where a post-mortem examination was conducted Tuesday.
The results of that examination are not yet complete.
Members of the OPP’s North West Region Forensic Identification Unit are assisting with the investigation, which is being conducted under the direction of Det. Insp. W. Olinyk of the OPP’s Criminal Investigation Branch in Kenora.
The investigation is continuing, and further information will be released once it becomes available.
