The Legion Ladies’ Auxiliary to Br. #29 met on Oct. 9.
Evening started with a delicious pot luck supper at 6 p.m. So many good cooks and bakers.
Meeting was brought to order at 7:05 p.m. by president Alfreda Easton
Minutes of the Sept. 11 general meeting and the Oct. 2 executive meeting were read and approved.
There were no new membership applications presented for approval. Andrea Avis attended as a guest and will be joining in January 2020.
The October birthday winner was Clara Stainke, with a card given to Maureen Ricard.
Yvonne Chambers won the 50/50 draw, while Gwen Westover won the attendance draw.
In other news, the Honours and Awards recognitions were held on Sept. 21 at 1 p.m. at the branch.
Several branch and auxiliary members received recognition for years of service and certificates of merit.
This Friday (Oct. 25) will be the monthly suppe,r featuring chicken marsala with all the trimmings and pie/dessert.
It will be served upstairs at the Legion at 5:30 p.m. (doors open at 4:30). Cost is $16.00 per plate
Ticket sellers are needed for Nov. 1-2 and Nov. 8-9 to sell 50/50 tickets for the tea draw.

Sgt. Wilson’s Airforce Show is coming up on Friday, Nov. 8. Show starts at 3 p.m. upstairs at the Legion.
Tickets cost $15 in advance, $20 at the door.
Available in the Club Room or from the office (274-0129).
The Remembrance Day Tea will be held on Sunday, Nov. 10 starting at 2 p.m. at the Legion. Cost will be $5 adults; $2 for children under 7.
There will all kinds of goodies, meat pies, perogies, cabbage rolls, cookies, baking, “Pick a Poppy,” and more.
Remembrance Day celebrations will be held on Monday, Nov. 11 at the cenotaph and at the Legion after the service.
The next generel meeting will be on Wednesday, Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. Election of officers will take place then.
And plans are in full swing for the “Pjs & Pearls Gala” on Feb. 29, 2020. Advance tickets cost $60 each.
Sponsorships and support included Kids and Company, “Trunk or Treat,” and Rainycrest bingo prizes.
