The Sunset Palliative Care Committee invites everyone and their loved ones to the Pushing Up Daisies fair. Explore informational booths and connect with local services offering support to you and your family throughout the end-of-life journey.
This year’s event also features two speakers you won’t want to miss. This event takes place on Tuesday, May 12, from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Emo Legion. Contact Laura/Sis Wilson at 276-2483 or Norma Reather at 1-877-311-0117, extension 211 for more information.
Pushing Up Daisies is co-chaired by Laura Wilson and Julie Cousineau. The committee is made up of local health care providers and members who are committed to enhancing and improving palliative care for all.
“This year, we are moving the annual event to the west end of the district,” Wilson told The Times.
“We hope to offer this event across our communities in the years to come. It’s important for all our communities to have the opportunity to have access to this fair. The fair provides everyone with some important information about death.”
The team is looking forward to seeing new faces in Emo. This event is for everyone, regardless of age. The fair aims to keep people talking about death and dying and to extend support to everyone to create a healthier and more comfortable discussion around the end of life.
When we talk about death and dying, we open the door to better understanding and experiences. Our community always has room to grow together.
