On September 11, 2022 we held our Explorers 2.0 4-H meeting at our leader Krista Olson’s house. The meeting was about bread making.

When we were all there we took attendance, Jessica Teeple, Landon Teeple, Sydney Romyn, Emily Romyn, Georgia Romyn, Rihanna Morrison, Olivia Seguin, Hailey Wilson, Melania Olson and Mason Teeple were all present at the meeting. We said the 4-H pledge and got right into making dough.

While making the dough we learned about different types of flour and yeast, two very important ingredients for making bread. The flour gives the bread structure and the yeast makes the dough rise. We also learned that mixing and kneading the dough can be a workout. While the dough was rising, we played a game to test our memory on what we learned about making bread. Once the dough had risen, we all made it into little buns to bake and take home. We also sampled the warm fresh buns with a little butter, they were delicious. Our president Jessica Teeple adjourned our meeting and we all took home buns to share with our families.
