Court teams get split

The Muskie court teams ended the NorWOSSA regular season by earning a split with the host Dryden Eagles on Tuesday afternoon.
The junior girls’ volleyball squad won 3-0 to cap league play with an unblemished 8-0 record.
It wasn’t as good of news for the seniors, however, as they lost 3-2 to the Eagles but still finished in first place with a 7-1 record.
In boys’ basketball action, the senior Muskies rolled to a 60-52 win to finish atop the standings with a 7-1 record.
As for the juniors, they dropped a narrow 48-44 decision to finish in third place with a 2-6 mark.
All four teams will resume action tomorrow at the NorWOSSA playoffs hosted by the Kenora Broncos.
The junior hoopsters will battle the second-place Eagles (3-5) in the morning semi-final, with the winner advancing to face the top-ranked Broncos (7-1) for a shot at gold in the afternoon.
The senior squad and both girls’ volleyball teams, meanwhile, all have byes to their respective finals.
