A new report received by town council at its regular meeting Monday night shows how much the mayor and councillors were paid in 2016.
Mayor Roy Avis, who also sits on the Fort Frances Power Corp. board of directors and local Police Services Board, had remuneration totalling $31,677.32 last year.
This total consists of a base salary of $23,000.12, plus $2,025 in per diems, $1,850 for being on the PSB, and $4,802.20 for being on the FFPC board.
Mayor Avis also had $7,048.20 in conference expenses in 2016.
Coun. Wendy Brunetta had remuneration totalling $14,925.04, including a salary of $12,000.04 and $2,925 in per diems.
She had $5,665.59 in conference expenses.
Coun. Ken Perry had remuneration equalling $14,475.04, with a salary of $12,000.04 and $2,475 in per diems.
He had $3,782.24 in conference expenses.
Coun. John Albanese had remuneration totalling $13,850.04, including a salary of $12,000.04 and $1,850 for also being on the PSB.
He had no per diem claims or conference expenses.
Coun. Paul Ryan had remuneration totalling $13,425.04 in 2016, with a salary of $12,000.04 and $1,425 in per diems.
He also had $3,510.13 in conference expenses.
Coun. Ryan also had a total of $13,633.23 in honorariums, travel expenses, mileage claims, and conference/education costs paid to him by the Northwestern Health Unit for his service as a municipal rep on the Board of Health.
Coun. June Caul had a salary of $12,975.04, including a salary of $12,000.04 and $975 in per diems.
She had $2,909.78 in conference expenses.
Coun. Doug Kitowski had a salary of $12,375.04, including a salary of $12,000.04 and $375 in per diems.
He had $651.11 in conference expenses.
The report is issued each year in accordance with the Municipal Act.
