OTTAWA—If you ever thought about going into space, now’s your chance.
Canada is recruiting candidates to fill two potential new spots in its space program.
Innovation and Science minister Navdeep Bains is announcing the new $3-million recruitment campaign today, giving astronaut wannabes until Aug. 15 to apply.
Getting into the program doesn’t guarantee a mission to Mars—or even out of Earth’s atmosphere.
But Canada has sent eight astronauts to space on 16 missions.
And Canada’s participation in the international space station program has been extended until 2024.
