Man charged after kicking service dog

KINGSTON-A man is facing a criminal charge after allegedly launching an unprovoked attack on a service dog in Kingston, Ont.
Police say the incident happened last Thursday morning while a service-dog user was walking with his family.
Police allege the accused walked up to the dog and kicked it in the hind quarters before running away.
A police officer heard the commotion, chased the suspect, and was able to make an arrest.
The man is now facing one count of causing unnecessary pain and suffering to an animal.
Police did not offer any update on the dog’s condition.
