Man, 88, charged in historical sex assaults

GERALDTON, Ont.–An 88-year-old man from northern Ontario is facing a number of sex charges related to alleged offences dating back more than 30 years.
Provincial police say they began investigating the man in May of this year after receiving a complaint.
They say their investigation focused on incidents that allegedly took place between 1971 and 1984, but provided no other details.
Henry Maki of Geraldton, Ont. is facing four historical charges.
They include rape and three counts of sexual assault with a female, at least one of which allegedly involved a girl under the age of 14.
Police are encouraging anyone else with information about the case to come forward.
